To achieve our mission and goals, the Sunday School provides the following services. 1. Provide Sunday School teaching: On Sunday’s morning using three classes:
Level 1 for age group of 5 to 8,
Level 2 for age group of 9 to 12, and
Level 3 for age 13 and above.
On Saturdays: Two classes are in session in the afternoon from 5 to 7pm bible study.
2. Implement a structured program for learning the Word of God. 3. Share our faith and support our students to use the Bible for life guidance. 4. Provide faith-based interactive environment and current technology to enhance and encourage understanding and appreciation of God's love and work. 5. Educate our children the need for regular worship and offer exciting opportunities for our children who keep the same Christian values. 6. Introduce them to the faith and sacraments of the Church through Sunday School program designed by the Eritrean Diocese of America and Canada.
The Sunday School strives to teach our children to answer questions such as spiritually who are we? What are our values? What is our life experience as an immigrant vis-à-vis our faith? What is our church’s background and history? The overriding objective of our Church is to preserve, protect, and propagate the Holy Orthodox Tewahdo Faith and to quote a verse from the Bible “Contend earnestly for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints” (Jude 5). Passionately, carry out the Lord's commandment to make disciples of all peoples: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
